Signing up for the Affordable Care Act (ACA), Everything you Need to Know

The Affordable Care Act (ACA) helps make health insurance coverage more affordable and accessible for millions of Americans. Through the Health Insurance Marketplace, insurance seekers can purchase health insurance that covers doctor visits, hospital stays, preventative care, and prescription drugs. It is important to remember that under the ACA these plans cannot deny coverage due pre-existing conditions. By applying for health insurance, individuals can also determine whether or not they qualify for Medicaid, the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), or other public health programs.
LULAC is committed to addressing health inequities among vulnerable communities, especially among Hispanics. We are delighted to join Health and Human Services as Champions for Coverage and lend our voice to this cause. Visit our Champion for Coverage page to learn more.
