Power naps, cat naps, food coma naps, we all do it but is napping healthy? Naps can be very healthy and a great chance to give a us a healthy boost that we need to get through the day. What are the benefits of napping?

increased alertness
improved mood
improved performance including quicker reaction time
better memory
less confusion and fewer mistakes
Not all of us should nap. If sleeping at night is problematic then napping is not a good idea as it can disrupt sleep pattern. Over napping can result in sleep inertia or feeling disordered after waking up from a nap, however it is believed that adults have the okay to nap and should!
