Arriving at the Royal Palms is an experience that begins as travelers first make their way onto the property. From the cobblestone roads, to the lush palm trees, to the employees who greet you warmly when checking in, it is all just breath-taking. The resort is known for their Spanish-style villas and top-notch hospitality where each guest is treated like royalty.

But there are hidden secrets at this resort; and if you blink, you may just miss them.

1. The Royal Palms was created with surprise in mind. It may look like a secluded five-star resort, but as soon as you check in, you’ll have no trouble sensing the culture and all of its luxury.

2. The significance of the Spanish Lady mural located in the courtyard: When the Royal Palms chef traveled to the Mediterranean Sea, he collected many things, one being the Spanish Lady. The art piece was a gift from his wife. Years later, it now serves as a friendly greeting for guests as they arrive and check in.

3. The crest above the blue mahogany doors with the words written across saying, “To God I Am Betrothed” or “God is my Fiancé”.

4. The priest quarters and the Holy Water Fountain.

5. Art and culture is celebrated throughout the resort. See something you must have? Guests can even purchase art as well.

6. Want to express how much you love your significant other? There is nothing the resort can’t do to ensure a romantic night for two. In fact, Villa Cappello in the Allegria Garden offers a lovely night where rose petals are spread in a trail leading to the table where you’ll have a private waiter at your service.

7. Royal treatment means a spa and citrus ritual, and that’s exactly what you’ll get! It’s an 80-minute treatment and full-body exfoliation on heated stone tables while water runs over you. Then, you’ll proceed on to the garden tub and private patio area. Nothing says “relaxation” quite like the Royal Palms Spa.

8. Are you a history wiz? Join the tour that will give you a history on the property, which is offered on a weekly basis.

9. Four recent presidents have stayed at the Presidential Villa. Word on the street is that Chelsea Clinton is one of the latest celebrities who has spent her time at the enchanting Royal Palms Resort and Spa.
