The Wild Vine Uncorked Opens in Chandler with Latin Flair
By: Jessica Danielle Ramirez
Chic, entertaining, and a go to spot for ladies night is what you’ll find when dining at the Wild Vine Uncorked. What started out as only a dream for Kimberly Rubens became a reality after she decided to leave the corporate life behind and enter the food industry. When she took that leap of faith and transitioned to her passion, she incorporated what she loved.
“I like the Southwest Latin feel to food,” said Rubens.
From tapas to bruschetta, the menu highlights each item with hint of Latin cuisine. As one can notice from the name of the eatery, wine is a significant part of the business.
“We start [customers] with a light pinots and we’ll offer a Zin which is also more fruitful,” she said.
While the wine section offers a variety of tastes for all palates, it’s the menu that will leave a lasting impression. As the menu goes, there are a variety of Latin inspired entrees, and others that are traditionally American. The empanadas in particular have are a delight for people with an appetite for sabor. But it doesn’t stop there. There’s also ceviche and guacamole, each with its own unique flavor profile.
Another entrée that has piqued the interest of local foodies is the colossal shrimp.
“It has more of that garlic and roasted flavor to it,” explained Rubens.
If traditional fare is more your style, the sliders take the cake. They’re made with pork chorizo and Oaxaca cheese, two key ingredients that the whole table will go nuts over.
“Everything we are doing we try to bring that [Latin] flavor into,” said Ruben.
The new trendy spot offers weekly live music, which adds that special touch to your dining experience. Whether you’re looking for a place to meet with your girlfriends or looking for new wines to try, this is place may be the “Jill of all trades”.
