Flower Child Expands to Phoenix

It’s fresh, healthy and oh, so nourishing to the body. At last, Flower Child has made its way to the Phoenix area and everyone is going crazy over the new location. For those who enjoy dining at restaurants, but don’t want to feel as though they’ve eaten poorly, Flower Child could be your new go-to spot.

Known for its quick, hearty meals, Flower Child Uptown location opened in November and has been a fantastic addition to the Phoenix foodie scene.

“We’re not trying to take out all the good stuff – we’re not going to take out the cheese or yogurt,” said manager Jessica Lowder. “We’re trying to replace it with better ingredients.”

Those better ingredients are exactly what the foodies expect. Enter the positive atmosphere of this eatery and that’s exactly what you’ll get. The healthy items include salads, wraps, and gluten-free desserts. The most approachable item on the menu is the Flying Avocado. It’s the “gateway dish”. It gives you a glimpse of what Flower Child is all about and leads you to try more entrees.

And you can’t forget about the sides. The mac and cheese and the chili-glazed sweet potatoes are two sides can make any dish especially outstanding.

The dishes may be organic, but they deliver on excellent flavor nonetheless.

“We’re going to give you a dish that uses less salt and oil. But it’s still going to taste amazing,” explained Lowder.

One plus about dining at this particular location lies in their drink menu.

“We offer more alcohol beverages like local beers and organic wines,” she said.

Eating healthy doesn’t have to be a punishment. With a little help from restaurants like Flower Child, the experience can be pleasant while giving you another culinary point of view.

“It doesn’t mean you have to be a health nut to eat here,” said Lowder.” “It just means you’re coming to a restaurant that really cares about you,” said Lowder.

Whether you’re longing for a change in your eating habits, or simply wishing to try something new and delightful, it’s the Flower Child lifestyle that is making its mark in Phoenix.
