Mesa counselor one of 40 Under 40 Hispanic leaders
A Mesa High School counselor who is the school’s Driving Dreams mentor and heads is dropout-prevention program honored as one of Arizona’s 40 Hispanic Leaders Under 40.
Nicole Galindo also has led the youth track of the Mesa Latino Town Hall for the past six years, and she serves on the Mesa Public Schools and Mesa Community College Latino Advisory Committee.

Galindo chairs the Scholarship Committee, counsels students in the Advancement Via Individual Determination program and coordinates the ASU Hispanic Mother-Daughter Program at Mesa High. She is the first in her family to graduate from college, earning a master’s degree in counseling, and she is in a doctoral degree program at Grand Canyon University.
