A double-feature screening of the movie My Fair Lady, starring Audrey Hepburn is coming to the Phoenix Art Museum on Sunday, May 11 at 11 a.m.
My Fair Lady is a 1964 American musical film adaptation of the Lerner and Loewe stage musical of the same name based on the 1938 film adaptation of the original stage play Pygmalion by George Bernard Shaw.
The event will follow with the screening of the film “Some Like it Hot, starring Marilyn Monroe at 2 p.m. at the Phoenix Art Museum as well. The movie explores representations of femininity in Hollywood featuring costumes on exhibit.
Some Like it Hot is a 1959 American comedy film directed by Billy Wilder and starring Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon. The supporting cast includes George Raft, Pat O’Brien, Joe E. Brown, Joan Shawlee and Nehemiah Persoff.
Screening time: 11 am (My Fair Lady), 2pm (Some Like it Hot)
