TEMPE, Ariz. – The City of Tempe’s Free Art Friday program offers a morning filled with social interaction, creativity and fun, and is geared towards children ages 3 to 5-years-old and their families. This month’s event theme, May Day/Play Day, will be reflected in a variety of art projects and games. Bring your little ones to this final Free Art Friday of the season from 9:30-11:30 a.m. on May 16 at the Edna Vihel Activities Center, 3340 S. Rural Rd.
Visitors at Friday’s event will create secret agent masks, decorate pinwheels, make their own game-in-a-cup, construct a wooden toy airplane and best of all, play with all of their creations.
Free Art Friday is a free, family-friendly interactive art series that gives participants the opportunity to create art, learn about music and movement and have a great time. This program features different art projects each month that explore various themes. Registration is not required. The Free Art Fridayseries will take a short break during the summer months and return August 8, 2014.
