Annual Dia de los Muertos Phx Festival 2016 to Take Over the Valley Oct. 23rd
By: Samantha Collins
Come one, come all to one of the most celebrated holidays in Mexican culture. This Sunday, the celebrated Dia de los Muertos Festival is taking over the grounds at Steele Indian School Park. This festival is open to everyone, and will be showcasing some of the holiday’s most important cultural and historical aspects for all the attendees. From Aztec dances to a special procession, and even special guests such as La Llorona – who will be walking throughout the festival – it’s going to be a day to remember. You may laugh, you may cry, but all will rejoice as we remember loved ones who are never gone — all while enjoying a cerveza and a taco, or two.
