ZZ Ward Heats Up Crescent Ballroom on Wednesday
ZZ Ward, singer, musician, songwriter, brings her fluid, driving sounds of blues, soul, R&B and rock to the Crescent Ballroom in downtown Phoenix on Wednesday, Sept. 11. Her hot “Down and Dirty Shine Tour” show starts at 7:30 p.m. and ticket prices are $15, $20, and all the way up to $75 for VIP seats. The audiences that have been following ZZ (birthname: Zsuzanna Eva Ward) since her debut EP and album in 2012 tend to be jumping and loud, so expect the same at the Crescent. She had a hit single titled “Put the Gun Down,” a soulful warning to another woman to keep her hands off ZZ’s man. ZZ says in interviews that she loves bringing the blues genre to the new, young generation that follows her. The Crescent is located at 308 N. 2nd Ave., one block west of the Van Buren Light Rail station. For more information, visit the Crescent Ballroom website at www.crescentphx.com.
