The Beauty in Your Brows
With fashion ever-changing women are constantly revamping their style to stay trendy and fashion forward. It is evident that eyebrows are in this season as thick, fuller looking brows have been seen on and off the runway. Before such extreme actions such as using permanent make-up are taken it is encouraged to play with your make-up until you find the right look for you. Although fuller brows are in, there is an appropriate look for every face.
Whether your brows look better thinner with a higher arch or thicker, taking the time to highlight key points on your face while shaping the brow will give your make-up look a more put-together appearance. It is recommended to stick to thinner brow shapes for a more natural look as well as use powder to darken or fill the areas that need it.
When it comes to hair growth no single ingredient has proven effective for all individuals, all the time. Individuals respond to different treatments in different ways. What may work for one person may be ineffective in another, and so on. Products that stimulate hair growth usually work in one of two ways. They either effect the hormones, which can stimulate hair growth. In this case hair growth will not be limited to brows, if the product works. Products may also make blood vessels bigger to increase the flow of blood (as in Rogaine) and presumably, nourish the follicles.
Follow these steps below to get a clean, symmetrical-shaped brow that is appropriate in thickness for your face!
-
Prepare materials including: Thin Make-up brush, appropriate color powder for brows (eye shadow works just fine); medium to large brow stencil (stencils are not required but recommended for a more symmetrical look); foundation (to clean up any excess powder left in undesired spots near brow); and cotton ball
- If using a stencil, line up stencil to meet the interior start of you brow. If your full brow does not fit in the shape of the stencil, that’s OK
- Begin using thin powder brush to apply brow powder to eyebrows, starting on the interior of the eye extending to the exterior; be sure to tap brush to not add an uneven amount of powder in the initial area you apply powder to.
- Follow along stencil lines if using a stencil until complete brow is shaded in lightly. If not using a stencil continue to shade along natural brow lines.
- Remove stencil from brow area and repeat the following steps to the opposite brow
- If needed brush over any areas in brows that need to be darkened
- Clean up the excess powder beneath and above brows by using your cotton ball to wipe areas off; foundation can also be used
- To intensify look of brows if a sharper look is desired, highlight areas along brow line with foundation to more distinctly identify eye brows
- If you want your brows to highlight the right angles of your face, see image to the left to see at what point your brow should start(1. At start of brow), arch (2. Directly above pupil) and fade (3. Directly extended from edge of eye to edge of brow).
