Weekend Getaway Packing Doesn't Have To Be a Drag
By Monica Avila
Hola! What do you all think about when you think of summer? Vacations, beach getaways…relaxing and enjoying time with the familia right? Well, at least that’s what I think about once the temps start creeping up the thermostat. The best part about vacation is the vacation part, mojitos by the pool or maybe a bike ride through the back trails. The worst part has to be the packing. So, I decided to put together a quick little “how to pack for a weekend vacay” list for the fashionista who loves to look fabulous but doesn’t want the hassle of packing a humongous suit case…even if her Louis Vuitton roller is spectacular!
Choose a color theme
For real, this will make shoe packing simple. If you choose a couple outfits that look great with your favorite tan wedges, or gold gladiators, you’ll be all set and then there’s no need for a separate suitcase for you shoes! Talk to Trefilio, his resort line is color coordinated and there is a look for every occasion.
Pack more than one awesome suit
Swimsuits don’t take up much room in a case, and can be worn at the beach, at the pool, and even with the right cover-up, to lunch on the boardwalk! Then you eliminate having to put on a wet suit when your party night is all done. This melon colored ensemble from Beach Bunny is lovely!
Choose fabrics that are ready to wear
I’m serious here; there is nothing worse than having to iron on vacation! If you choose a couple of gorgeous outfits that do not require major ironing, you’ll be much happier! Loving this look from Ted Baker and the scarf makes for an easy hair day!
So those are my tips for looking your best and easing the packing stress for a weekend jaunt to San Diego or the Caribbean Coast. Happy Travels chicas!!!
