Edible Stories at SMoCA June 13

AZL Edible StoriesOn Thursday, June 13 from 7-9 p.m. the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art, 7374 E. Second St. in Scottsdale will host a vibrant evening of art, food, music, poetry, and lively conversation about food politics, environment and sustainabilitySeating is limited; first come first serve. This is a FREE event

Performers, farmers, artists, ethnobotanists and culinary experts will share personal stories and work that explore our complex relationship with what we eat.

The event is produced by ASU Deer Valley Rock Art Center and ASU Performance in the Borderlands, in conjunction with the SMoCA exhibition Stocked: Contemporary Art from the Grocery Aisle. 

Meet Phoenix artists whose work engages with issues of food and sustainability, learn about indigenous desert foods, listen to a mix of house music and food politics, watch performances about food justice, eat new foods, and participate in a dialogue about what we eat and where it comes from. Music by DJ Musa Mind.
