Scion promotes youth soccer stars on and off field
Scion is celebrating the rich heritage of our Latino culture by partnering with the Arizona Youth Soccer Association and a Valley radio station to honor outstanding soccer stars on and off the field.
From now until May 9, the public is invited to nominate a Scion Soccer Star who’s athletic and entrepreneurial abilities are making a difference in their lives and in their communities. To be eligible, the youth must be between 13 to 17 years of age to win. Two winners will receive a scholarship to a soccer camp of their choice, courtesy of the Scion brand. “Scion is excited about the opportunity to partner with the Arizona Youth Soccer Association and support a program that has such a positive impact on youth throughout Arizona. We thank the AYSA for the chance to be involved with such a rewarding program,” said Gabrielle Cohen, Denver Region Scion manager.
The AYSA also is glad to partner with Scion, said Mark Thede, association president: “…With over 15 dealerships throughout the state of Arizona, Scion and their line of cars geared toward the younger generation is a terrific fit to become the presenting sponsor for our Arizona State Championships, the premier youth soccer tournament in the state of Arizona. AYSA is grateful to Scion and we look forward to a fantastic partnership!”
Thede said that Scion will be the presenting sponsor of the 2013 Arizona State Cup Championship, a tournament that runs three weekends April through May. In addition, proceeds from the sponsorship will help AYSA programs such as “Kickin’ It After School” and others that benefit local communities.
