Dream is Now film at ASU Tuesday
The Dream is Now film by Academy Award winner Davis Guggenheim will be screened and a panel discussion will follow at Arizona State University Tempe campus Tuesday, April 30 at 7 p.m. The doors open at 6:30 p.m. at the Interdisciplinary Sciences and Technology Building 4 (ISTB 4) at 600 E. Tyler Mall at ASU.
Guggenheim is the director of An Inconvenient Truth and Waiting for Superman. Dream is Now tells the moving story of those directly affected – the undocumented children of immigrants who yearn to contribute to the country they love and call home. This thought-provoking film was created to keep the focus on Congress to pass immigration reform that will benefit DREAMers and their families.
The panel will begin at 7:30 p.m. The panel will be moderated by James Rojas from the Real Arizona Coalition, and will feature Erika Andiola, an Arizona DREAMer starring in the film. She is on the staff of Arizona Congresswomen Krysten Sinema. The Dream is Now is an effort of concerned citizens who believe we need to fix American’s broken immigration system, giving hard-working undocumented youth and their families a fair path to citizenship. They support common sense immigration reform that includes the principles of the DREAM Act.
