Comic Luke Torres at Latin Comedy Jam

But his act consisting of Stand Up comedy, impressions of the rich and famous, a multitude of characters from all cultures, and musical parodies has entertained large audiences in many of the largest cities in the United States, and on television comedy shows.  

 Luke and four other Latino comedians will thrill an Arizona crowd Saturday, March 30, 8 p.m. as part of the Latin Comedy Jam at the Wild Horse Pass casino and resort. The jam is a collection of the best Latino comics in show biz today, and features some of the hottest talents to take the stage. These nationally recognized comedians have experienced success in film, TV, and their own comedy specials. The show promises to be a night of big laughs.

 For the past 15 years he has traveled across the country with his skits and cast of comedy characters.  When you attend Latin Comedy Jam, expect to encounter Luke’s hilarious depictions of Japanese rappers, and a Hindu rapper like “MC Ghandi.” He parodies Black and Whites who try to speak Spanish. He sticks it to redneck cops and East LA gangbangers alike. He laments the lack of Latinos in Taco Bell commercials. Highlights of his act are his awesome impressions of Enrique Iglesias, Ricky Martin, and Jack Nicholson.  

 Luke Torres is well known and well-liked by people who love great jokes and have seen him in comedy revues and shows. He has performed in Paul Rodriguez’s Latin Kings of Comedy.  He is also featured in several DVDs such as  “Latinos Locos,” “Latino Fiesta Vol. 2,” and “National Lampoon’s International Show.”

 When Torres landed in Los Angeles, he snagged a spot as a regular at the world famous Comedy Store, and was quickly picked up by the crew at Fox’s  “In Living Color,” working alongside such greats as Jim Carrey, Damon Wayans and Academy Award winner Jamie Foxx.  Luke has shared the stage with comedians such as Dennis Miller, Howie Mandel, George Carlin, Louie Anderson and Dana Carvey just to name a few.

 He also worked with many musical acts such as The Temptations, The Four Tops, Three Dog Night, War and Paul Anka.  He has also had numerous television appearances on networks such as CBS, NBC, FOX, Comedy Central, HBO, SHOWTIME, GALAVISION, Telemundo, and  SITV. He has also appeared in many motion pictures, including the animated hit “Space Jam,” starring Michael Jordan.
