Demi Lavato On Road To Recovery
danielli with mitú writes about the road to recovery for Latino superstar Demi Lavato as she battles back from a life-threatening overdose. –
Demi Lovato is back home after completing 90 days of in-patient treatment for her sobriety. Lovato has been open about her addiction and recovery for years now, and has helped humanize and destigmatize the disease. We know that she’s attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, and very, very slowly stepping back into her life.
Lovatics are screaming for her return, so here are the breadcrumbs of what we know about her sobriety, where she’s been spotted around Los Angeles, and who she’s stanning on the gram.
The disease of addiction almost killed her in July.

Her assistant found her unconscious body with blood on her pillow and immediately thought she was dead. She was hospitalized for almost two weeks before she was released for her overdose.

That same night, we know that she overdosed and was taken to the hospital via ambulance. The 26-year-old eventually posted another photo thanking her fans and discussing her recovery but has since deleted it.
Last week, Demi posted for the first time in over three months urging her fans to get to the polls.

TMZ has reported that Lovato is splitting her time between home and a sober house, which is quite common for strong addiction recovery facilities. There is no cure for addiction, but strong, clear accountability by professionals with strong support systems by other recovering alcoholics has been proven effective.
TMZ has reported that her ex, Valderrama has been a major support for her.

An insider told Us Weekly that, “Demi and Wilmer are still in constant communication,” and that they “speak over the phone pretty much every day and see each other often.” They haven’t been seen publicly yet.
Lovato’s last post had said, “I now need time to heal and focus on my sobriety and road to recovery. The love you have all shown me will never be forgotten and I look forward to the day where I can say I came out on the other side. I will keep fighting.”
Stay strong, Demi.”
