Cardi B Kills Her Performance During Late Night Appearance On Kimmel
If you’ve been watching “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” this week, you know that the talk show host has been doing shows from his hometown of Brooklyn, New York. The show, which is normally filmed in Los Angeles, is currently being shot at the famous BAM theater in Downtown Brooklyn. The Brooklyn Academy of Music, BAM for short, is a famous theater that has been in the area for well over a hundred years.
Jimmy Kimmel brought out Cardi B to perform her hit “Bodak Yellow” for his Brooklyn series.
Kimmel has been pulling all types of NYC talent to the show, so it was a no-brainer to bring the queen of the summer from her kingdom in the Bronx over to Brooklyn. I wonder if she took the 2/3 or A/C trains down to Barclay’s Center? Oh, right, she probably took her brand new orange Bentley.
She was excited AF to perform on Kimmel and it marked the first time she performed late night as a solo act, having only debuted for the first time a few weeks ago on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.” Cardi B and G-Eazy performed “No Limit,” a banger that also features A$AP Rocky.
Cardi B was ~ready~ for her first solo appearance on late night television.
Armed with an all-pink outfit — feather coat, shiny pants and pink shades — she came ready to rap in an outfit that summoned images of Brooklyn rapper Lil’ Kim in her heyday. Perhaps Cardi’s outfit was an homage to the rapper who set the stage in the 90’s for future female lyricists. Cardi has continuously shouted out female rappers Lil’ Kim and Nicki Minaj as inspirations, and many have returned the love as well.
