Valley Toyota Dealers Donate BIG to Phx Children’s Hospital

And with the cutting of a giant red bow, Phoenix Children’s Hospital new state of the art Level 1 Trauma and Emergency Department opened its doors. The $40 million new ER is expected to serve a total of more than 120,000 patients a year, 40,000 more patients than in its old facility. The new Emergency Department has 72 private exam rooms The new Emergency Department will have 72 private exam rooms compared to 43 room in the current facility, and capacity for trauma patients will increase from 4 to 9 patients.
The new facility would not have been possible without donations, one of the donors is the Valley Toyota Dealers Association whom for the past 15 years have worked with Phoenix Children’s Hospital and has donated more than $1 million to the hospital.
“We continually see the amazing work that they do, whether it be taking care of our own children or the children of the community,” said John O’Malley, President of the Valley Toyota Dealers Association. “We hope the community comes together to raise the remaining amount for this new facility and help Phoenix Children’s continue to be one of the best pediatric hospitals in the country.”
Valley Toyota Dealers also donated inside the new 2018 Toyota CHR more than 500 teddy bears which will bring comfort to the little patients during their visit to the ER.
“The new Emergency Department will make the world of a difference for our staff and patients at Phoenix Children’s. We will now have plenty of space and capability to serve patients and families who come to us,” said David Notrica, M.D., Trauma Center Medical Director at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. “It is very positive to see local organizations, such as the Valley Toyota Dealers Association, come together to support our new facility.”
