Latinas Who Need Their Own Reality Show

by Daniela Galvez

Someone call E! News! While we live in a world where the Kardashian’s rule reality TV, there are so many Latinas whose philanthropic work or relatable back stories are deserving of a little (more, personal) airtime.

From Cardi B to Selena Gomez, here are some ladies we believe should have a spot on our reality TV viewing schedule.

  1. Tahiry Jose

The Dominicana rose to fame on VH1’s Love and Hip Hop for her on-and-off relationship with rapper Joe Budden. Since leaving the show and turning down rapper’s hand in marriage, Jose has been focusing on building her empire, starting with a line of nail polish. We all are dying to see what happen to Jose post-Budden.

  1. Bella Thorne

Love her or hate her, the 19-year-old is one of the realest girls out there — sometimes too real! From her outrageous snaps to her unapologetic tweet, it’s hard not to want more.

  1. Cardi B

Although she earned notoriety for being on Love & Hip-Hop, it’s hard to ignore her presence on social media. From shutting down Internet trolls to simply being her crazy self, Cardi B is must-see TV.

  1. Selena Gomez

We can’t forget about Selena. The 24-year-old singer, who last year took a break from social media to deal with her symptoms of Lupus, came back with a bang. From her new music to her blossoming relationship with The Weeknd, we can’t seem to get enough of the former Disney star. What can we say, we want more #Abelena!

  1. Sofia Vergara

Let’s be honest, Vergara and her hubby, Joe Manganiello, are Hollywood’s hottest couple. Seeing this ridiculously good looking pair on TV every week, would make us start believing in true love.

  1. Jennifer Lopez

J.Lo’s love life is a roller coaster ride. After getting married three times and having several high-profile relationships, the singer finally seems to be settling with former Yankees player, Alex Rodriquez. I don’t know about you, but we definitely want a glimpse into the mother-of-two’s budding relationship.

  1. La La Anthony

Although the 37-year-old actress starred in her own reality TV series La La’s Full Court Life with hubby, Carmelo Anthony, it would be interesting to see how much her life has changed since the A-list couple called it quits.

  1. Gina Rodriguez

The Jane the Virgin actress is a girl’s girl. Rodriguez uses her voice to constantly advocate for equality of women, as well as for Latinas. We definitely needs a weekly dose of Gina to become better versions of ourselves.
