Sagrado Galleria Celebrates Grand Reopening and Art Exhibit, Nov. 5th
(Phoenix, AZ) — The Sagrado Galleria is proud to announce the grand re-opening of its new location in South Phoenix (SoPho) on Saturday, November 5, 5 to 9 p.m., 6437 South Central Avenue, Phoenix.
The grand opening exhibit, “Pasado, Presente, Futuro” (Past, Present, Future) will feature works that include various styles and mediums such as acrylic, photography, mixed media, watercolor, pencil, sculpture, oil, projection, and sound.
Twenty artists from around the valley narrate the past, present and future of the Mexican, Chicano and Indigenous Cultures. The exhibit will include work by; Zarco Guererro, Mata Ruda, Champ Styles, Karma Liegh, Chela Chelinski, Venessa Chavez, Marco Albarran, Thomas “Breeze” Marcus, El Moises, Such Styles, Pablo Luna, Nick Oza, Randy L. Barton, Lucinda Yrene , Adam A-Bomb Vigil, Fransico Flores, Oliverio Balcells, Zee Peralta, El Spawk and Damian Amoros.
The night will also feature special guest performances, speakers and a short film about a much anticipated community development project in the area.
The Sagrado Galleria is excited to join the community of SoPho that has inspired a grander vision for Phoenix including creating a space to incubate small business starting with a pop-up coffee house, boutique, and print making studio.
The community is invited to “The Sagrado’s Grand Re-Opening Ceremony and Artist Exhibition” to explore a night of art and the visions of the FUTURO of SoPho.
The Sagrado Galleria held it’s first group exhibition on January 6, 2012. Housed inside “La Melgosa” in the Grand Avenue Arts District in Phoenix.
Holding space each month for conceptual driven shows, workshops, as well as music and dance performances drawing in a diverse multicultural audience. In collaboration with the artist community The Sagrado created memorable shows that focused on Mexican, Chicano and Indigenous Cultures.
