AZHCC scholarship for Latino business student
The Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is offering a scholarship to invest in the future of Latino students who wish to go into business. The goal is to enrich our community by preparing aspiring business majors, professionals, and small business owners for the challenges of the future economy.
Future Business Leader Scholarship: Provides $5,000 to incoming junior or senior student in a business major at North Central Association accredited college or university in Arizona. The student will be paired with a mentor and given opportunities to participate in internships with AZHCC members. Deadline is March 29.
Eligibility:
- Undergraduate with a declared major in business at a NCA accredited college or university in Arizona with an intent to pursue a career in business.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 in previously completed college studies.
- One parent of Hispanic heritage.
- Will be starting junior or senior year of undergraduate studies.
- Must be accepted into and enrolled in a Bachelor degree business program.
- Must enroll full-time.
- In addition, preference will be given to the student who also is a dependent of a company that is a member of the AZHCC; or has an ADA recognized physical disability.
The award of $5,000 will be distributed in two equal payments at the start of each semester. The amount is renewable for one additional year if the student meets the requirements for renewal. To complete the application, sign up here.
