Interview: Gina Kapple to Star in Disney Live! ‘Three Classic Fairy Tales’ Coming to Phoenix

Gina Kapple describes herself as outgoing and determined.

She began performing at the age of two, and since then, she’s fallen in love with the entertainment industry.

Now, she’s showing off everything she knows in the upcoming spectacle, “Disney Live! Three Classic Fairy Tales.” She stars as Belle from the all-time classic, “Beauty and the Beast.” The show will take place at the Talking Stick Resort Arena on October 10th through the 11th.

Gina grew up in McAllen, Texas, is of Dominican background and is very much familiar with the Disney family. Prior to joining Disney Live! “Three Classic Fairy Tales,” she was a character performer at Walt Disney World — also bringing Belle to life.

“One of my favorite things is getting to express myself through movement, acting and emotions,” she said. “It has been something to help me let loose at times and something I have always enjoyed doing.”

Disney Live! “Three Classic Fairy Tales” is hosted by none other than Mickey, Donald and Goofy as they take audiences on a captivating journey and magically bring to life three timeless fairy tale adventures. Discover Snow White as she searches for her one true love; Cinderella getting ready for her magical night at the ball; and Belle, from Beauty and the Beast, as she finds happiness in the most unusual place.

But more than anything, Kapple says she enjoys the family she’s been able to create. “I have loved just being a part of this wonderful show and making new friends who have become my road family.”

She admits being on the road isn’t easy, but doing what she loves while traveling makes it all worth it. “I am so happy I get to accomplish that goal alongside growing in my profession. I am also trying to appreciate all that is around me. Sometimes the little things can be just as important as the big things.”

As far as what the future holds for her, she says she enjoys living one day at a time. “I am truly living in the moment and just soaking in everything I get to do everyday.”

Anchored amidst a transforming set, captivating choreography, innovative lighting and breathtaking costumes, this authentically-woven tale of “happily-ever-after” is a heart-warming Disney experience for the entire family.
