(Phoenix, Ariz.) — Experience the playful, imaginative works of Carolyn Watson Dubisch in her solo exhibition, “Books of Whimsy,” Aug. 7 – Oct. 18 at Burton Barr Central Library’s @Central Gallery, 1221 N. Central Ave. An opening reception with the artist will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 7. The reception, featuring live music and light refreshments, is sponsored by the Friends of the Phoenix Public Library.
Through the combination of fine art and recycled materials, Watson Dubisch has created a series of charming, mixed-media works that invite the viewer to embrace their imagination. She is inspired by books—inside each one is a world waiting to be explored by the reader. Carolyn Watson Dubisch is an artist, illustrator, sculptor and author. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally; she lives and works in Phoenix, Arizona.
