The frenzy to look for the hottest deals is not over yet — and the search continues online.
Cyber Monday has become popular among people who just want to avoid the long lines and craziness of hitting the stores on Black Friday. However, although online shopping does seem to be a better option, numbers are expected to drop from last year.
According to results from the Consumer Electronics Association, 77% of shoppers over the holiday weekend said they went to the Web because they found better comparable deals.
USA Today also shared interesting statistics from the NRF, which shared that traffic was down 5.2% from 2013 and total spending was expected to reach $50.9 billion by Sunday, down from $57.4 billion estimated for the same period last year.
The study explains that shoppers have changed the way they view exclusive deals, and they now have the expectation that they will be there all the time.
