Election Day is almost here and the last thing the candidates want is for all those campaign signs to end up in the landfill. Let the city of Tempe recycle them for you instead. Tempe residents and campaign volunteers have two options for recycling all those leftover signs:
Temporary drop off locations: Place campaign signs in blue Tempe Recycles collection bins at one of two convenient drop off locations:
- Household Products Collection Center: 1320 E. University Dr. (northeast corner of University and Dorsey in front of the Tempe Fire Training Center).
- Kiwanis Park neighborhood recycling drop-off center (west side of All America Way just north of Guadalupe Road)
Blue barrel bin: Place cardboard and plastic campaign signs in your blue recycling bin just as you would your other recyclable items.
The deadline for removing signs is Nov. 19. Signs must be disassembled with metal or wooden stakes removed before placing them in collection bins.
