Phoenix Suns to Hold Free Open Practice on Saturday

The 2014-15 NBA Season is upon us, and the Phoenix Suns would like its fans to be part of it since the beginning.

On Saturday October 18th the Suns will hold its annual open practice to the public starting at 11:00 a.m.  The team will practice from Noon – 1:00 p.m.

Before the players begin practice, the Gorilla, and the Suns Dancers will entertain the fans.   The Jr. Suns basketball game will hold a game.

The Suns opened their pre-season games against the Houston Rockets on Monday with a 95-92 loss.

Eric Bledsoe scored 13 points and Goran Dragic added 12 for the Suns.

The Suns announced today that they have waived guard Joe Jackson, guard Casey Prather and Forward Jamil Wilson.

The Suns roster now has 16 players.

On Saturday the players will hold an inter-squad game after practice and will interact with the fans.  The players will toss autographed basketballs and shirts to the crowd.

It will be a great opportunity for the fans to see first hand how a Suns practice is run.

Head Coach Jeff Hornacek’s squad will feature returning players Eric Bledsoe, Goran Dragic and Miles Plumlee along with newly signed Isaiah Thomas and Anthony Tolliver. 

The Suns will hos the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday for their next exhibition game and will travel to Los Angles to face the Lakers on Tuesday October 21.

The first regular season game for the Suns will be Wednesday October 19th against the Lakers at US Airways Center.

On October 31st Phoenix will host the Spurs for an “Orange Friday” Halloween match-up.
