Gabriela Cardenas Proves Leadership as Cox Employee during Hispanic Heritage Month

Gabriela Cardenas, business development consultant at Cox Media, has been recognized for her dedication to the Hispanic community by Cox Communications.
Cardenas leads the company’s marketing and branding strategies for both the Hispanic and general markets.
“I think its an honor, specially because Cox is recognizing Hispanic leadership… it makes me feel that they’re supporting everyone and they want to continue to grow their Hispanic talent,” she said.
Cox Media is responsible for selling advertising to about 82 different cable networks plus digital products.
“I love to develop ideas. I like to be able to work with a company and help them with their growth and their imaging,” she said.
Cardenas has been with Cox Media for 2 years and enjoys being part of its innovation.
“We always have the best products and the most adaptation to new viewership. We’re always very innovative and we have the best technology. To me, that’s a big plus.”
Furthermore, Cardenas has also served as general manager for Azteca America, a local Spanish-language television station before her time at Cox.
2014 marks the 10-year anniversary of Cox Communications celebration for various Latino leaders in the Phoenix community.
The Hispanic Heritage Month multi-media campaign includes a series of 30-second public service announcements highlighting outstanding Hispanic leaders and a Cox employee in Phoenix. The PSAs will rotate on Cox channels from mid-September through mid-October.
