Hidden in between a Chandler shopping center is a touch of South American culture.

It is a small eatery known to Latin food lovers as Tumi Fine Peruvian Cuisine. The hospitable restaurant is run by Oscar Graham, a familiar name to those who dine Peruvian style.

Coming from a line of talented cooks, Graham found his passion in the kitchen and knew he wanted to bring Peruvian food to Phoenix.

“I realized that in Phoenix we have a diverse kind of food and the condiments that we use in our plates are very flavorful,” he said.

Tumi Fine Peruivan Cuisine has been in business for three years and have made a name for themselves in Phoenix with their success, hard work and hospitality.

Serving traditional dishes like the famous Ceviche de Pescado to traditional fruit drinks like Maracuya, all dishes and drinks bring a part of the Peruvian culture.

“Our most ordered dish [Ceviche de Pescado] is marinated in lemon and other Peruvian sauces,” Graham said.

As any traditional Peruvian eatery would offer, the Lomo Saltado is a signature dish in the culture.

At Tumi Fine Peruvian Cuisine, customers have the option of ordering the entrée with either beef or chicken and can also choose to add one special ingredient, Pisco, which is a popular liquor served among Peruvians, and has become unique to the restaurant.

“We serve Lomo Saltado VIP as a Filet Mingon and we add Pisco because it gives an excellent flavor to the dish,” he said.

Each dish is cooked upon order and is served with the finest ingredients that the restaurant has to offer.

“Everything that we make is in the moment and fresh. If you dine here you must come with the idea that you might have to wait a little longer because everything is made al momento,” Graham explained.

Tumi Fine Peruvian Cuisine is the go-to stop in Chandler where beloved Peruvian food meets authentic decor served to hungry food lovers.
