Academy of Excellence to Offer FREE Back to School Haircuts

(Phoenix, Ariz) — The Academy of Excellence K-8 Free Public Charter School and the Valley’s Best Barber Team are offering FREE back to school haircuts for children 5-13 years old.

Join them on 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 20th at Academy of Excellence School, located in the urban core of the city of Phoenix at 425 N. 36th St. Phoenix, Az. 85008.

Free and open to the public.

Academy of Excellence is also now enrolling and will be offering school tours.

The event is being organized by a local barber who grew up in a nearby neighborhood and remembers his family not having the means for him to get a haircut.

“I remember wanting to go back to school with a fresh haircut and having to clean yards to earn money to get my hair cut,” said Rico Bejarano. “I am excited to work with the Valley’s best barbers to organize this event to offer students and families free hair cuts.”
