Athletes for Life Olympic Event

The Athletes for Life (AFL) program is pleased to announce the 2nd OLYMPICS event. The event will take place at the South Mountain Community Center, 212 E. Alta Vista, Phoenix 85042, on Saturday, May 3rd, from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

In collaboration with ASU’s School of Nutrition and Health Promotion and the City of Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department, AFL is a 10-week program designed for children aged 6-11 years and their parents. Children and parents participated in a variety of activities, including nutrition education classes and physical activity sessions. The overall goal of AFL is to encourage families to live a healthy lifestyle.

We invite all community members and organizations to come support our participants and to see the great work that is taking place in the Phoenix community.
