To what extremes would you go in order to be more comfortable in your shoes?
In the latest plastic surgery trend, being called “Cinderella surgery,” women are having surgery on their feet in order to fit more comfortably in high heels.
The procedure involves having fat pumped into the soles of your feet. This so-called ‘Cinderella’ procedure is on the rise with women seeking to change the size and shape of their feet to fit into designer shoes.
American women are increasingly keen to go under the knife in a bid to possess
heelready feet. While some ask surgeons to adjust the length of their toes for a more
aesthetically pleasing peeptoe, others are having fat inserted into their soles to make
walking in high heels more comfortable.
According to some reports, one woman even asked a surgeon to amputate her little
toes and another requested liposuction on their toes but both procedures were
denied.
Dr Ali Sadrieh, a podiatrist at Evo Advanced Foot Surgery in California, told the New
York Times the surgeries had become so popular he’s coined new names for them.
Dr Sadrieh’s dubbed toe shortening the “Perfect 10”, while he gave toe lengthening
the moniker “Model T”.
Dr Sadrieh admitted to the paper he initially thought “Cinderella surgery” was a bit
vain, but changed his mind as they increased in popularity.
