Phoenix Suns to Celebrate El Dia del Niño April 14

imagesThe Phoenix Suns will celebrate the Mexican holiday, El Día del Niño (Children’s Day), prior to the team’s matchup with the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday, April 14 at US Airways Center. Family-friendly activities will begin on the plaza at 5:30 p.m., with tipoff scheduled for 7 p.m.

Suns fans will enjoy El Día del Niño festivities including a prize wheel for toy giveaways, face painting and balloon twisting. In addition, the first 1,000 children in attendance at the game that evening will receive a free Mexican popsicle.

El Dia del Niño has been celebrated annually in Mexico since 1925. The holiday focuses on the importance of loving, accepting and appreciating children as an important part of society.
