Maureen Rischard, RN CMLT Aesthetic Nurse: WOW-Factor Products and Procedures!
I am delighted to introduce myself to everyone. My name is Maureen Rischard, and I am an aesthetic nurse. I have been in aesthetics for 7 years, my medical background is in Emergency medicine and Women’s’ health. I was approached by our beautiful Diana to share a few of my favorite tips.
My goal is to provide patients with results-driven, minimal downtime, WOW factor products and procedures.
Dermaplane – I adore Dermaplane! It is a safe and effective way to gently remove facial hair (peach fuzz) and the pore-clogged top layer of dead cells from the skin’s surface with no downtime. This procedure improves hyper pigmentation (dark spots), blackheads, sun-damaged and acne-prone skin. I use a scalpel to perform the technique, essentially erasing years of environmentally damaged skin. Plumper, healthier skin cells rise to the surface, decreasing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while leaving skin with a baby soft and radiant glow.
After just one treatment, skin is noticeably softer and smoother. Dermaplane may be repeated safely every 3-4 weeks with absolutely no downtime and WOW factor results!
Retin A – Let’s talk anti-aging! There are a few key products that all skin gurus agree upon and Retin A (retinoic acid) is one of them. The goal of Retin A is to increase the cellular turnover of facial skin to reduce/prevent fine lines and wrinkles, acne and dark spots (hyperpigmentation).
I have private labeled a product what I consider the Best of the Best: Duo Cream. This Rx product contains the Dynamic Duo in Anti-aging and Brightening the skin. With Retinoic Acid , Hydroquoinone and an additional few key ingredients get the results you’ve been looking for ! Duo Cream is used approximately every third night for that WOW factor result!
Botox – There is a reason Botox is the #1 selling aesthetic procedure in the world! Properly placed Botox creates a refreshed, relaxed, open look. I tend to be a conservative injector, since expression is a good thing; it’s how we communicate. When is it best to start your Botox treatment? I determine that by the dynamic activity of the facial muscles.
We all have the same facial muscles, they just move differently! I like to think preventative. Botox injections soften the muscle contraction which in turn will reduce the dynamic activity of facial muscles and thus will soften and reduce dynamic and static wrinkles.
Botox injections take just a few minutes with minimal discomfort. The procedure is repeated approximately every 3-4 months. Botox results are gradual, it takes full effect in about 10 days so it’s important to do a pre/post procedure picture and follow up. At that point a unit here or there may be placed to perfect that post Botox WOW factor result.
These are just a few of my favorite products and procedures. Come see me and mention this article for a 10% discount on services. Thank you very much!
