Survey of Attitudes of Hispanics and Asian Americans on Immigration

Hispanics and Asian Americans together account for two-thirds of the 28 million immigrants who are in the U.S. legally, and Hispanics alone account for about three-quarters of the additional 11.7 million immigrants in the country illegally. On Thursday at 12:01 a.m. EST, the Pew Research Center will release new national surveys examining each group’s views of immigration. The report will be available online at www.pewresearch.org/hispanic at 12:01 a.m. EST on Thursday, Dec. 19

 The new surveys examine topics such as views of current immigration proposals, awareness of the debate occurring in Washington and experience with the immigration system.
