Hurricane Sandy Blood Drive
With Hurricane Sandy pummeling the East Coast, the Arizona Red Cross has been training and preparing volunteers to help victims of the storm if needed. In addition since many blood drives have been cancelled in the east, Red Cross held a drive at the Arizona State University campus in Tempe. Nearly three hundred blood drives in fourteen states have been canceled leaving 9,000 units and platelets of blood lost. Arizona’s Red Cross Chapter is preparing to help out the victims of on the East Coast.
