D-Backs’ Paul Goldschmidt to Present $100,000 Check to Phoenix Children's Hospital
D-backs first baseman Paul Goldschmidt and his wife, Amy will present a check for $100,000 to Phoenix Children’s Hospital tomorrow at 5:00PM.
The funds were raised during the annual Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation broadcast fundraiser held on Sept. 17 during the game broadcast on FOX Sports Arizona. Fans that made at least a $44 donation received a limited-edition Paul Goldschmidt keepsake print and two lower-level tickets to a 2013 D-backs game.
Goldschmidt will join his wife, Amy, and D-backs employees to help decorate a tree for kids at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. This will be the third year the D-backs have created their signature tree that will feature bobbleheads, baseball gloves, Baxter yo-yos and D-backs-themed decorations, donated by the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation, in which pediatric patients will be able to take with them for the holidays.
